Hideo Kojima has gained a reputation for mischief over the years for using Twitter for his personal amusement. True to his usual form, he is now back at it again, this time teasing his fans with one of his most confusing tweets yet.
In a recent Twitter post, the 59-year-old game designer ingeniously alluded to P.T., the acclaimed PS4psychological horror game, using the abbreviation "PT" from Yorgos Lanthimos' upcoming surrealist film, Poor Things.
As expected, avid followers well-versed in Kojima's penchant for chaos swiftly caught on to the joke. However, for the unfortunate few unacquainted with his mischievous nature, all we can say is that they will be waiting for a full P.T. game for a long, long time.
Released in 2014, P.T. (Playable Teaser) was developed by Kojima Productions, under the pseudonym "7780s Studio", and published by Konami. This interactive teaser served as a tantalizing glimpse into the ill-fated Silent Hill game, which was intended to be the ninth main installment in the Silent Hill series. Development efforts, led by the collaborative vision of Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, spanned from 2012 until the game's unfortunate cancellation in 2015.
