House of the Dragon was one of the biggest shows last year, and its set to take 2024 by storm. The Game of Thrones prequel is one of the best things to happen to television in recent memory and some fans, including us, would give anything to get their hands on the second season. Fortunately, we won't have to as HBO is working towards releasing it next summer.

We have Variety to thank for this tidbit. In a recent report by the magazine, we learned that, "HBO is eager to take fans back to Westeros for more backstabbing, incest, and power plays with the second session of House of the Dragon, targeting a summer 2024 premiere."

That's some interesting phrasing there, but fans of the IP are probably used to it. House of the Dragon Season 2 completed filming last month despite the strikes. We even reported on the massive battle scene filmed at Bourne Woods, Surrey.

Unlike other Hollywood projects that ground to a halt during the strikes, the fantasy drama series had complete scripts. Besides, most of its actors belong to the UK's actor union and could continue working despite the strike by their US colleagues.
