GreedFall 2: The Dying World has officially set a date when it will throw open its doors to the eager masses, albeit with a latch. Sorry, catch. Announced amidst the fanfare of Nacon Connect, this sequel (or more accurately, a prequel) has set its sights on an early access debut on PC in the heat of Summer 2024.

GreedFall

, which made its debut in 2019, had gamers traveling across uncharted terrains on a remote island filled with magic, riches, lost secrets, and fantastical creatures, all tied together by the ambition of colonization. Fast forward a few years and Spiders, the studio behind this saga, has decided to change the narrative - no longer are we the colonists.

In GreedFall 2, players will be thrust into the boots of a native of Teer Fradee, yanked from home and thrown into the chaos of Gacane, a continent scarred by the ravages of war and plagued by Malichor, the deadly disease.

Cyril Tahmassebi, the art director of the upcoming game, revealed the studio's intent to deepen the essence of exploration that fans adored in the first game, summarizing this in one word as 'discovery' - hopefully without the exploitation bit.

According to Tahmassebi, GreedFall 2 will marry the grandiose and intricate artistry inspired by Rembrandt with the golden allure of a bygone century, stepping beyond the confines of an island to a much bigger continent, brimming with ancient nations and their stories.
