Grand Theft Auto 5 will reportedly run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on the PS5

According to information coming straight from the official PlayStation Germany blog, Grand Theft Auto V will run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5. This reveal should help ease some of the concerns about exactly how well the game will perform on current-gen consoles.

What is odd is that Rockstar has yet to reveal this information themselves, opting to stay quiet as we inch closer to the game's release date on November 11.

Now that the info is out in the wild, we wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar decides to confirm the boost with an official announcement in the next few days.

Speaking of the announcement, more information about GTA 5 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X is long overdue.

Among other useful intel, Rockstar hasn't confirmed if the next-gen version of GTA V is a free upgrade for old-generation players or a stand-alone version. If it is the latter, then it will join the likes of Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima to have standalone next-gen versions. However, the aforementioned games are more recent releases. Not to mention, both Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima will come with extra content on the PS5, which makes the extra cost worth it.

Improved resolution and frame rates might not be enough to convince gamers to buy the next-gen version of GTA 5, especially those who have already purchased the game before. How much extra content the "Expanded and Enhanced" version will have exactly is yet to be properly revealed.

Here's hoping that Rockstar comes out with more information about upcoming Grand Theft Auto games soon. In addition to the next-gen version of GTA 5, there are rumors that Rockstar is working on a GTA: Trilogy composed of Grand Theft Auto 3, San Andreas, and Vice City.
