We still have a little over a month to go before Gran Turismo 7 arrives on the PS4 and the PS5. In the meantime, more details about the first numbered installment of PlayStation's popular exclusive racing sim in years have begun to emerge. Case in point, PS4, and PS5 owners can start preparing their storage drives for what's easily the largest PS5 exclusive yet.

Part of the PS5's biggest selling point is the ability of the console's SSD to compress data and shrink file sizes. So far, this appears to have worked for exclusives. Bluepoint Games' Demon's Souls, for example, is one of the chunkiest at 70GB. Meanwhile, the likes of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Deathloop clock in at less than half of Demon's Souls. However, the upcoming PlayStation exclusive games are going to take a huge part of the PS4 and the PS5's storage.

According to the official pre-order page of Gran Turismo 7, the racing sim requires a minimum of 110GB of free storage on both the PS4 and the PS5. In addition to this, PlayStation Game Size confirmed on Twitter that the PS5 will take up at least 89.445GB at launch without updates and patches.

Although PlayStation Game Size is not an official source, the user used PlayStation Store's backend to come up with info.
