According to critics and audiences alike, Godfall lacked any meaningful endgame content whatsoever. It also didn't help that the game had mediocre loot. Because of this, Godfall quickly fell out of favor among its audience. However, fast forward to Day 1 of E3 2021, and it looks like Gearbox and Counterplayer aren't ready to give on Godfall yet. The brand-new online multiplayer title was among the headliners of Gearbox Software's E3 2021 showcase.

According to Counterplay Games, Godfall will be headed to the PlayStation 4, confirming the PEGI rating leak earlier in April. In addition to this, Godfall will be receiving its first-ever post-launch expansion, Fire & Darkness, as well as a free content update, Lightbringer. Both are scheduled to release on August 10, 2021, along with the PlayStation 4 version of Godfall.
