Is The Day Before really not an MMO anymore?

Users do influence what tags are shown for a game on Valve's digital storefront. If enough players submit a tag, it will be added to the game's official metadata. However, the tag list can be edited by the developer at any given time. It explains why the "realistic" and "building" tags have been constantly added to the game.

Interestingly, Fntastic also removed several videos from the game's official YouTube page as the game launched in early access. One of the most notable videos that was removed from the page was the initial gameplay trailer for the survival horror shooter that showcased powerhouse visuals courtesy of Unreal Engine. Many have called the video a "vertical slice," a small functional portion of the game developed as a proof of concept. Gamers have noted that the visuals shown in the first gameplay is vastly different from the one seen in the early access. The official Discord server for The Day Before has also reportedly been temporarily locked down ahead of release.

The Day Before currently has a 21% positive score on Steam which is the 9th worst. It joins Overwatch 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and NBA 2K24 in the top ten worst-rated games on the storefront.

It is worth noting that The Day Before is still an early-access title. There is still hope that Fntastic will turn things around for the game in the next months or years.
