A lot has happened since Chris Hemsworth starred as Tyler Rake in 2020's Extraction. For one, it's no longer the most viewed Netflix film, within a month of release, in Netflix history. Or, at least, that's probably what's going to happen.

With Red Notice overtaking Birdbox as Netflix's most-watched film (per number of hours), it feels like it's only a matter of time before the ensemble cast of Netflix's latest blockbuster film will break Extraction's previous record of 99 million views on the streaming platform.

Having said that, Extraction's sequel has already started filming, which should give the Chris Hemsworth-led action movie another shot at Netflix's top spot.

Judging by how long it took for the cameras to start rolling, director Sam Hargrave couldn't help but celebrate.
