Buckle up, folks, because here comes a dose of disappointment. While Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Tyler Rake in the confirmed Extraction threequel, it seems that his Netflix Hulk Hogan biopic is not making the progress we had hoped for.
The Aussie star, who's been getting jacked up for the part, had a chat with Chris Van Vliet to discuss the recently released action flick, Extraction 2. During the conversation, when questioned about the latest developments on the Hulk Hogan biopic, this is what he had to say: Let's hope. I don't know what's happening with it at the moment, but there's a good story there. I'd love to tell it. I know Todd Phillips has been deep in the world of The Joker, but we've had conversations, and yeah, fingers crossed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai8kZfKBR8Y
First announced in 2019, the Hogan biopic was initially thought to be delayed because of COVID restrictions. However, Hemsworth set the record straight last year, stating that Todd Phillips was tied up with the Joker sequel and that he himself had his plate full with other projects.
Sadly, it appears that not much has changed even after a year, and the chances of seeing Hulkmania run wild on the big screen anytime soon are growing slimmer by the day.
