Microsoft's showcase at E3 2021 is like the gift that keeps on giving. Just days after major details about Battlefield 2042 were first revealed, a new trailer has arrived at E3 2021 and showcases just how epic and massive the online-only military shooter is going to be.
First Battlefield 2042 Gameplay Footage Doesn't Disappoint
First, let's address the elephant in the room. Battlefield 2042 will not have a single-player campaign. However, one could argue that this is for the better. The decision to make Battlefield 2042 an exclusive online-only title has given EA DICE more time and resources to make the next Battlefield game the best Battlefield multiplayer experience ever released.
Judging by the first Battlefield 2042 gameplay footage, the trade-off was well worth it. The 3-minute montage might have been light on specifics, but it is a glorious showcase of the chaotic battles that players can expect to partake in once Battlefield 2042 launches.
Among the many things that were shown off include a huge tornado ravaging the entire map as the battle raged on, which confirms some of the earlier leaks.
The majority of the footage took place on what looks like a desert-based city map. It wasn't entirely new either. We saw the same over-the-top moments in the earlier reveal trailer.
