A lot of Marvel projects have been affected by the recent Hollywood strikes including Fantastic Four. However, with the writers already ending their work stoppage, we are slowly getting updates for upcoming movies.
In a recent interview with Collider's Editor-in-chief Steve Weintraub, director Matt Shakman provided updates for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Shakman reveals that Marvel wants to start filming in London next Spring.
"It's such an awesome world to be in. The script is awesome, the characters are brilliant. I'm super excited. I'm obviously very happy now that the writers' strike has resolved in such a good way, and we're able to reunite with Josh Friedman, our amazing screenwriter," Shakman explained. "Yes, we are definitely gonna go in front of cameras next year. Probably the spring. [In] London. Pinewood."
Shakman also teased that the upcoming film will be "unlike anything at Marvel you've seen before." The director also shared his excitement about working on the movie. However, in typical Marvel fashion, Shakman stops short of sharing information about the Fantastic Four.
