Iron Man has gone from a “B-lister” to one of the foremost superhero figures in the public eye because of Robert Downey Jr. and the MCU. As such, it isn’t surprising that EA Motive is currently working on an Iron Man game. Unfortunately, details surrounding the Iron Man project remain scarce. But, a new job listing sheds light on a key detail about the Iron Man game.
Hint: it’s going to be like Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man.
According to the narrative director, Stephen Rodes, EA Motive is looking for an individual with “experience in open world and non-linear dialogue for games.
EA Motive had previously confirmed that its Iron Man game is a “single-player, third-person action adventure” game, which implies that it will learn from the failure of the now-defunct Marvel’s Avengers. In addition to this, the same listing is adding that the applicant should be able to “collaborate with designers to create a mission structure that identifies narrative beats and plot lines to support the story.”
Come work with me & help create the next great Iron Man story, here at EA Motive!

EA Motive started production on its Iron Man game earlier this year, just as it was closing in on the release date of its Dead Space Remake.
At the moment, Marvel fans can play Iron Man in Marvel’s Avengers. Unfortunately, the ill-fated game will no longer receive support after a nearly-three-year run.
As for the other Avengers with their own games, Iron Man isn’t the only one coming to consoles and PCs. Peter Parker and Miles Morales are teaming up against Venom, among others, in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, at some point later this year, while Marvel’s Wolverine is on the pipeline over at Insomniac Games. Finally, Skydance New Media is working on a Black Panther and Captain America game set during the events of World War II.
EA Motive is the studio behind the Dead Space games, including the latest remake. After its success, EA Motive is expected to remake Dead Space 2 and 3.
