EA and Respawn issues apology for state of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC

Fans are upset that Respawn delayed the game by six weeks and still released a broken version. Digital Foundry called the PC version, "the worst triple-a PC port of 2023 so far."

According to reports, high-end PCs are particularly affected by these issues with Survivor. Gamers using "cutting-edge, multi-threaded chipsets designed for Windows 11" have encountered issues when running the game on Windows 10. PC users with high-end GPUs paired with lower-end CPUs have encountered unexpected frame loss.

EA has promised to release "weeks" of fixes for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. However, the team has not given a comprehensive solution for the PC performance issues. The studio is currently working to "improve performance across a spectrum of configurations." The patches will require "significant testing" to ensure that it doesn't add any other issue to the game.

In addition to the massive day-one update for Jedi: Survivor, Respawn also released a new patch yesterday. The new update for PC includes performance improvements for non-raytraced rendering.
