We're at a point where even a single individual can make games that can look just as good as the ones made by big-time studios. So, when Game Science came forward and announced Black Myth: Wukong, most didn't doubt them any bit. After all, it wouldn't be the first time that a relatively unknown studio wowed audiences with an awesome gameplay trailer and delivered. But, as it turns out, work on Black Myth: Wukong is far from smooth sailing.
u/RealRanton claims to have gotten his hands on insider info about the progress of Wukong's development. He claims that his sources have told him that Game Science barely has anything else to show for the game other than the trailers. The YouTuber explains that all Game Science has right now is one area worthy of coming out and everything else is not ready.
This isn't something that anyone would want to hear from a game expected to come out by May 2023.
According to the Nvidia GeForce Now leak, Black Myth: Wukong will hit store shelves on May 30, 2023. Although that's still almost a year away, an Unreal Engine 5 game that looks better than God of War: Ragnarok should be in the testing phase by now if not close to it. What we have just heard suggests that Black Myth: Wukong won't be coming out in 2023. To make matters worse, some are speculating that Game Science might have bitten off more than it can chew and is struggling to move forward.
