We finally know when Death Stranding 2 is coming out and it won't be that long from now.
According to a PlayStation Studios Visual Arts senior artist, Frank Aliberti, Death Stranding 2 will be out sometime in 2024. Eagle-eyed observers spotted the details from his ArtStation page before his failed attempt to scrub it off the internet. In addition to Death Stranding 2, Aliberti is also working on an "upcoming first-person shooter" that many presume is the same one that was announced a year ago by Firewalk Studios.
Firewalk Studios is a video game development studio founded by developers with previous experience working on Destiny, Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Mass Effect. We first found out of the studio's partnership with Sony for a "new, original multiplayer IP" last year.
While Aliberti's "now-updated" ArtStation page is proof of something, it could be an honest mistake as well. Aliberti might've believed that Death Stranding 2 and Firewalk's game will be out by 2024. But, what's interesting is why Aliberti even knows about it. Aliberti is a part of PlayStation Studios Visual Arts - not Kojima Productions nor Firewalk Studios. Technically, he could've been helping out on both games, it's just unclear why he'd know about private information like a game's release date if he works for a support studio.
