This is after Sumo Digital passed on the game after inheriting it from Yager, who stepped up as Techland's refused to come back for the follow-up. It's safe to say that Dead Island 2 is just as difficult to kill as the undead in the game.

In a report via Try Hard Guides, Henderson claims that his sources shared that a Dead Island 2 re-reveal is in the pipeline for later this year. The same report adds that Dead Island 2 will heavily feature a co-op campaign and introduce a new cast of characters.
