is one of the most successful media franchises in the world and almost no actor would pass up the chance for an adventure in "a galaxy far far away." This includes former star Daisy Ridley, who portrayed Rey in the sequel trilogy.
In a recent interview with IMDb at Sundance's Acura Festival Village, where she discussed her new film Sometimes I Think About Dying, the 30-year-old actress revealed she is open to reprising her role in the franchise. She stated "I mean, I'm open to a phone call. I'm looking for employment!"
Ridley made her first appearance in the franchise in the sequel trilogy where she starred as the protagonist Rey across all three films. The trilogy's three films, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker made up the seventh, eighth, and ninth films in the Skywalker Saga and, for all purposes completed the saga's story.
Also created by George Lucas, the Ridley-led trilogy enjoyed massive success at the box office. Each of the films grossed over $1 billion and one of them even surpassed $2 billion. Given that the trilogy only cost $837 million, the three films' combined gross of $4.4 billion was a massive return on investment - and that doesn't even include merchandise profits, which is where the real money is.
