CD Projekt RED might have its hands full working on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty at the moment. However, the Polish studio isn’t above shooting down rumors and clarifying errant info. In this case, CDPR took the time to deny that a highly speculated character is coming to the DLC.
Last week, a player claimed to know info about the in-development paid expansion. According to the said source, a mission in Phantom Liberty features the giant casino seen in one of the main game’s endings, the Crystal Place, as well as the return of Falco, a character who survived the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Naturally, fans were excited upon finding out the news, especially since we apparently aren’t getting a second season of the hit anime spin-off.
Unfortunately, as per CDPR PR lead, Radek Grabowski, this isn’t happening.
Grabowski took to Twitter to debunk the report responsible for spreading the leaked information. He claims that none of the details contained within are true.
And, just like that, the wait for more Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty information continues.
Sorry Paul, but this is not a leak. We do not have this content neither in Phantom Liberty nor in the base game.

At this point, the only thing confirmed for Phantom Liberty is Idris Elba joining the game while Keanu Reeves returns. V is also working with the US government, for some reason.
Ultimately, we’re surprised that CDPR isn’t taking more advantage of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The animated series, which premiered on Netflix last year, was so popular that it drove up the player count of Cyberpunk 2077 for months following its launch.
After earning high praise for its plot, worldbuilding, and animation quality, CDPR confirmed that the prequel was a one-off.
CDPR hasn’t given us a clue when Phantom Liberty is coming this year, but we suspect it will arrive in time for the holiday season.
Phantom Liberty is just one of the handful of projects CDPR is working on at the moment. In addition to the first and only major expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, the upcoming lineup of CDPR projects includes a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 4, Project Hadar, and The Witcher remake.
