Whenever you think about ways to spice up a tired formula or make a concept more fun, adding dinosaurs is usually a good plan. Capcom’s forthcoming crazy third-person shooter game will launch in a few days to the delight of many fans, and now we have some new footage to fire us up.
Capcom has whetted our appetite for the game with a launch trailer that looks very promising. The studio dropped the trailer on Monday during the Exoprimal Showcase, where it gave a sneak peek into the game out this Friday.
The trailer shows different characters taking on dinosaurs in a high-stakes, the-fate-of-the-world-depends-on-this battles. It introduced the different types of characters that will be available in the game and gave an insight into their abilities.
Exoprimal is a game for the future. Capcom intends to make it a long-term project and has plans for regular post-launch content to support this goal. Its first season will launch on the same day as its debut, with Seasons 2 and 3 to arrive later in the year.
During the showcase, Capcom revealed its roadmap for the title. We learned there will be three modes: PVP, PVE, and Random. The studio also revealed there will be 10 Alpha exosuits, which are essential for taking on the beasts, on August 16.

The game’s concept is intriguing enough: players are tasked with defeating an AI, tagged Leviathan, and putting an end to its goal, which is to control the future. To do this, gamers will band together to fight a horde of dinosaurs and other pre-historic animals that Leviathan dumps on the world through mysterious vortexes.
Exoprimal combines many cool concepts to make what we hope will be a memorable game. It involves fighting, cool suits, and time travel. If you want to learn more about the game, you can read our article on it here.
The game will be available on the Xbox Game Pass immediately after it launches. With Microsoft recently re-introducing its $1 Xbox Game Pass trial, gamers have an opportunity to play the game for next to nothing – at least for a month.
Exoprimal will arrive on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC platforms this Friday, July 4. The game is only available online, though, which is to be expected since it’s a multiplayer title.
What do you think of the game? Will you be taking advantage of the Microsoft’s free trial offer to get your hands on it?
