After making waves in his return to the WWE, Bray Wyatt hasn’t appeared in a match since March. Fans are if the wrestling promotion has let Wyatt go. But, the truth is the exact opposite.
According to WWE producer, Brian “Road Dogg” James, the WWE has hired a new writer to work with Wyatt.
Bray Wyatt’s absence from WWE matches since March is not due to him being let go. WWE has hired a new writer to work with Wyatt. However, it is still unclear when Wyatt will return to the ring.
Here’s what Jammes shared on the “Oh… You Didn’t Know?” podcast:
We have a new writer, actually, for Bray now. So we’ll see how all of that unfolds down the road.
WWE’s Director of Longterm Creative, Rob Fee, was initially responsible for handling content with Wyatt. Fee joined the WWE last year alongside Wyatt after his tenure with Marvel. Fee is apparently the brains behind the viral “White Rabbit” QR codes in the lead-up to Wyatt’s return at Extreme Rules in October.
It’s unclear if the WWE has let go of Fee now that Wyatt is working with a different writer or if he’ll be working closely with a different wrestler.
After feuding with L.A. Knight earlier in the year, Wyatt called out both Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar for some reason. The former ultimately responded and a program between Wyatt and Lashley ensued. But, after several episodes of Wyatt torturing Lashley with the now-infamous “Muscle Man” skit, Wyatt disappeared from WWE programming. The All Mighty was then left with no one to feud against with just weeks to go until WrestleMania 39 before he was ultimately handed the WWE’s equivalent of a participation prize by winning this year’s André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
With Wyatt excluded from this year’s WWE Draft, there’s no telling when The Field will return to terrorize wrestlers again.
Triple H has mentioned before that he’s a fan of Wyatt’s creative mind before admitting that he needs to reign Wyatt a bit back so his ideas aren’t all over the place. The task of keeping the creative genius of Wyatt on track now falls to the newly hired writer by the WWE.
If anything, we’d love to see Wyatt torment Roman Reigns next if only to see what would happen.
