Nearly five months ago, Letitia Wright suffered an injury while on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The frightening accident was initially thought to have led to minor injuries. However, months later, it was found out that Wright had suffered a critical shoulder fracture and a concussion, among other things. After filming Black Panther 2 around Wright's absence, the movie eventually hit a snag as Wright's character, Shuri, was a central figure. Production had no choice but to pause things until Wright had fully recovered.
Now, it appears that the British actor has finally recovered and the upcoming MCU film is set to start filming once again.
Black Panther 2 has a Chadwick-sized hole to file
Ryan Coogler already had high expectations to meet even if Chadwick Boseman was still around to reprise the role of T'Challa, also known as the titular Black Panther. The 2018 film was an iconic movie that featured a Black director and a predominantly Black cast. In addition to netting $1.3 billion at the global box office, Black Panther also won several accolades, including being the first MCU film to win multiple awards at the 91st Academy Awards.
