If you checked social media at all over the past weekend, you might have noticed people sharing a brand new poster for Thor 4. Most likely, you dismissed it as fan art. However, it appears that the poster is indeed legit. Read on to find out more.
Marvel Studios is aiming big with Thor: Love and Thunder
Thor is the only member of the original Avengers team in the MCU to get a fourth feature film. Ironically, he's also the one with the worst films, at least, relative to his allies. His second outing, 2013's Thor: The Dark World, was previously the worst-rated MCU film before Eternals. Thankfully, Taika Waititi changed this. 2017's Thor: Ragnarok is widely considered one of the best films in the MCU, with a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a global box office take of a little over $850 billion.
After setting such a high bar, it appears that Waititi is more than up for the challenge. The "leaked" poster is more than enough to get fans hyped for what's to come.

According to 'The Direct', it spoke with Pyramid International to confirm that the poster they reportedly made is officially licensed material. It appears that the poster wasn't supposed to be available for public viewing yet. If this is the case, then we can expect a full reveal of the poster and potentially a teaser trailer coming in the next few weeks.
One of the biggest highlights of the first Thor: Love and Thunder poster is Jane Foster in full costume. We already got a small glimpse of how Natalie Portman buffed up for the upcoming MCU film, but this is the first time that we're seeing her in action.
Just like in the comics, Thor's former flame will take up the proverbial mantle and wield Mjolnir as she becomes the Goddess of Thunder. Unfortunately, we don't know just how much of the original comic book storyline Love and Thunder will adapt. Not to mention, the film has a couple of plot points that it will need to tackle. In addition to how Jane Foster becomes the Goddess of Thunder, Love and Thunder need to address Lady Sif's absence, as well as how big of a threat Christian Bale's Gorr is with Valkyrie, Jane Foster, and Lady Sif all in the same film alongside Thor with his Dawnbreaker.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to watching other MCU films and TV shows until Love and Thunder premieres on July 8, 2022.
