Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has made headlines recently by selling over $800 million in its opening weekend. The game overtook 2011's Modern Warfare 3 as the most sellable game in the franchise.
While it broke records, not everyone thinks that the second installment of the Modern Warfare reboot is that great of a game. Modern Warfare 2 received generally favorable reviews but is far from the universal acclaim of the original version which came out in 2009. Fans have also been criticizing the UI which led to plans by Activision to rework the HUD.
Twitch streamer Shroud weighed in on the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The popular gamer and CS: Go player said, during a recent Twitch stream, that Battlefield 2042 is a better game than Modern Warfare II.
"It looks good. The gun models look great. The animations are good. But... I think I'd rather play... someone asked me earlier if I think this [Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2] is better or Battlefield and I think Battlefield is much better than this... the new one. Am I crazy for that?" Shroud shared during his Modern Warfare II stream.
