Somebody go and tell Commissioner Jim Gordon to light the Bat signal, because the fight for a new Batman live-action adaptation that's part of the DC Universe is not yet over.
Although Matt Reeves already has dibs on future Batman films for at least the next decade, the DC Universe is severely lacking a solo outing. James Gunn and the rest of the new DC Studios management will want to address this in the future. After all, the next Man of Steel movie is reportedly already in development. But, if Gunn wants to try something different with the DCU, it could turn to the future and bring Terry McGinnis into the fold with the duo, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, spearheading the project.
Adil & Bilall recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline about Batgirl, the canceled DC superhero film. After confirming that they're still open to working again with DC Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery, with a meeting with Gunn already set up, El Arbi teased a very interesting proposition on Instagram. The since-expired Instagram story is of a fan art by artist, WeeArts, that shows Terry McGinnis' Batman.
