After Insomniac Games kickstarted the demand for video games based on Marvel Comics heroes, Marvel has spent the last couple of years releasing and announcing a slew of video games. Back in 2020, Crystal Dynamics released Marvel's Avengers. Although the game was largely panned and mismarketed as a live-service title, it was still fairly successful and got several expansions, including Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Eidos Montreal's Guardians of the Galaxy arrived this year with Insomniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine both already confirmed.
With that said, while it's no surprise that Marvel has lent its license to several other producers, it's still surprising to hear what other Marvel games are coming, especially if there's an MMORPG.
