Summer Game Fest will be happening shortly, and many new gaming rumors have cropped up. Persona series fans will be thrilled as there has been speculation that a new Persona 5 game will be announced soon.
Last month, there were reports of a newly registered website domain for a game called P5T. The domain matched up with a previous registration by Persona publisher Altus which led to speculations that a new Persona 5 game announcement is coming soon.
The domain registration may not mean anything at this point. However, new information suggests that the speculation around a new game may have been spot on.
Persona Central reports that the domain was updated last June 2. The update was first spotted by Twitter user @MbKKssTBhz5. Apparently, there have been several updates to the domain in the past, and almost always happens when an announcement is coming.
Persona Central listed several instances where the domain updates preceded a game announcement. This is where all the speculation comes from. Most Persona game announcements were within a week of the domain update. It would be highly plausible that we may be getting a teaser or reveal this week given that the domain was most recently updated.

The timing of the update coincides with several gaming events happening this week. Most notable would be the Summer Game Fest. The Geoff Keighley-hosted event may be the venue for a Persona 5 game reveal. But, there is speculation that Persona 3 may also be getting a remake. The most recent update to the Persona 3 domain happened just a day ago. Fans have speculated that a remake for the 2006 game could be on the table. We previously reported on a possible Persona 3 remake rumor earlier in the year.
All these updates point to multiple Persona games having spin-offs or remakes should excite a lot of fans. It has been a while since the release of Persona 5 Strikers in 2020 and gamers are excited to have a new installment in the series.
We will be keeping an eye out on the upcoming gaming events for a Persona game announcement. So far, developer P-Studio and publisher Altus have been mum about a new game.
