Believe it or not, it has been two years since we last saw a Zack Snyder film. After Army of the Dead, Snyder returns to Netflix with a new epic space opera project that has many excited.

We're a few months away from the premiere of Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. The upcoming movie recently received an official MPA rating ahead of its December release. Part One received a PG-13 rating for strong violence and partial nudity.

The MPA film ratings lists Rebel Moon as a PG-13 film "for strong violence, sexual assault, bloody images, language, sexual material and partial nudity." There were rumors that Netflix wanted a PG-13 version of the movie, presumably to attract more audiences. However, Snyder revealed that the upcoming space epic will have an extended R-rated version for both films alongside the original cut for the streaming platform.

The upcoming space epic will feature strong violence, language, and partial nudity.

"We just did the first temp mix for the preview of part one, and it's very exciting," Snyder shared to Slashfilm in March. It's a big, huge, space — they probably don't want me to say this — 'Star Wars'-y, 'rebels against the evil empire' thing over all sorts of different worlds. It's really fun. There's going to be two films. I think we're mixing that from June to February. And there's also going to be extended R-rated versions of each of the two films, so we're going to be mixing four different features."
