The WWE has not booked Roman Reigns for Backlash in Puerto Rico

Fingers crossed, Triple H has something unexpected planned for Reigns in the interim. The foe doesn't even have to be for the long term.

Don't forget, one of last year's most memorable matches was Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul at Crowl Jewel 2022.

The good news is there's enough non-Reigns-related momentum from WrestleMania 39 to give The Tribal Chief more than enough time to rest as he tries to prolong his streak. Case in point, Bad Bunny, the host of the show, may have a match set against Damani Priest and Dominik Mysterio with Rey Mysterio as his partner. Don't forget, the WWE will have to address what happened with Rhodes and Lesnar, which could happen as early as next month. Finally, the WWE can use another PPV match to highlight the growing tension between Jey Uso and the rest of the Bloodline.

After Backlash ends on May 6, the WWE's King and Queen of the Ring PPV in Saudi Arabia will be held on May 27 followed by Money in the Bank in London on July 1 and SummerSlam in Detroit on August 5.

With so much going on for the WWE over the next few months inside the ring and the expected fallout after the merger as well as the return of Vince McMahon to power, the WWE can afford to give Reigns some rest before ramping things up.
