Three years later, Northrend is finally headed to World of Warcraft Classic. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion will make its way to the nostalgia-ridden MMORPG.

Blizzard Entertainment confirmed the good news in a live-streamed announcement while also revealing the equally exciting expansion for World of Warcraft, Dragonflight. According to the developers, Wrath of the Lich King will be available in Classic sometime later this year.

Those who are interested can already opt-in for the beta.

Classic has successfully run alongside the main version of the MMORPG, bringing audiences back to simpler times. After taking gamers on a trip pre-The Burning Crusader, the off-shoot has since made the game's first expansion available. Now that Wrath of the Lich King is also on its way, all bets are off as to which expansion Classic will welcome next. However, just like with The Burning Crusader, Classic is also making several changes to Wrath of the Lich King and Northrend.
