Marvel's Spider-Man 2's ending leaves plenty of questions unanswered about the future of the characters, whether it's the protagonists and the ones close to them or the villains out for revenge. However, there's a lot of material for us to speculate on from what we see in the game's climax, ending, and the unusually long post-credits sequence. While Marvel's Spider-Man 3 isn't confirmed yet, we do have hints of what's coming in the threequel.
By the end of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the clearly telegraphed downward spiral of Norman Osborn from the charismatic billionaire-businessman-politician to soon-to-be Green Goblin is close to reaching its conclusion. With Harry Osborn in a coma, the Venom Symbiote now gone, and the Carnage Symbiote off to god knows where, the game's ending sees the lovely couple, Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, try to focus on themselves instead for once. This decision leaves his protege, Miles Morales, as the only Spider-Man of New York City in the meantime, a responsibility which he is happy to take.
However, that's not all of it: in one of the post-credits scenes, we see Norman Osborn paying Doctor Octavius a visit in the RAFT, a maximum security underwater prison designed specifically to hold enhanced individuals captive. Osborn's former partner mocks him for experiencing loss as Octavius teases the "final chapter," hinting at Marvel's Spider-Man 3. Then, for the other post-credits scene, we're introduced to the man Rio Morales is dating, Albert Moon, and his daughter, Cindy Moon.
