You might know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming in October. What you might have missed is that the upcoming Warzone sequel is launching soon after.
As stated in an official Call of Duty blog post, "The all-new Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 comes out later this year." This shoots down talks that the next Warzone game isn't going to be available until 2023.
Unfortunately, Infinity Ward confirmed to CharlieIntel that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 aren't releasing together.
Then again, with only a little over two months to go before the year ends, Warzone 2 isn't that far behind anyway. If Activision Blizzard is feeling a bit festive, it could take advantage of the upcoming holiday season and drop Warzone 2.0 right in the middle of Christmas, which would effectively secure it a huge playerbase right off the bat.
