What do you do when your boss is the one who accidentally leaks your "secret" project to the rest of the world? Such is the case with NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat 12.
Warner Bros. Discovery president and CEO, David Zaslav, recently led the company's earnings call where he confirmed that the next Mortal Kombat installment is coming this year, saying: There's lots more to come, including the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League—games also set for release this year with ambitious launch projections. Naturally, NetherRealm's creative director, Ed Boon, could do nothing but take the accidental reveal in jest.
Ironically, both Injustice 3 and Mortal Kombat 12 were included in the now-infamous Nvidia Geforce Now leak. But, as per our most recent update to the said round-up, NetherRealm has most likely abandoned its current plans for a third Injustice game in light of the recent DC Studios shakeup.
