Never underestimate the power of memes. Developers have literally made games based on the idea of a popular meme. Case in point, MultiVersus is a crossover fighting game that is fulfilling fantasies by letting gamers duke it out as Ultra Instinct Shaggy against fighters from various Warner Bros. Discovery properties.
MultiVersus is still in open beta, so it's got a long way to go before it can give Super Smash Bros. a run for its money. But, with so many fans supporting the game already, who's to say that MultiVersus won't get to where it can go and even be a part of a future EVO tournament?
