Vince McMahon is “firmly” back in charge of the WWE

WWE Superstars are reportedly prepared to submit their resignations following news that Vince McMahon is back in the WWE.

Vince McMahon is back just like nothing ever happened.

If you’re one of those wondering what happened at this year’s RAW after WrestleMania, we might just have the answer for you.

According to Mike Johnson of PW Insider, Vince McMahon is “firmly” back in charge of the WWE’s creative direction effective April 3. The report says that McMahon now has his own office and made several last-minute rewrites to the original script for the April 3 Episode of Monday Night RAW. Finally, the report adds that McMahon had some things changed in the episode in real time.

In the same report, Johnson noted that there’s a “huge negative shift in morale” because of what had happened, with one source saying that “the place felt nuked.”

A separate report by Fightful (via Ringside News) notes that a handful of WWE Superstars, including “one near the top of the card” will request their release from the WWE if things don’t change.

Dave Meltzer then added that Triple H will remain head of creative but McMahon “is going to have final say on everything.”

Vince McMahon is well-known for constant last-minute changes, especially towards the tail end of his most recent run as the WWE’s Head of Creative. These reports are an indication that McMahon is indeed in charge of things once again.

It’ll be interesting to see how this will pan out for the WWE.

Vince McMahon’s return ends what has been a pleasant run for Triple H as the one calling the shots.

The WWE was already in flux following the merger with the UFC. McMahon’s return does little to ease concerns, especially now that he has more power than ever as the executive chairman of the newly-merged company. No one can stop McMahon from running the way he wants it, for better or for worse.

Triple H brought back a handful of wrestlers McMahon fired during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bray Wyatt and Cody Rhodes are among those that Triple H re-signed, although it’s since been reported that McMahon initiated their return. However, others, like Bronson Reed, Scarlett, Karrion Kross, and Dexter Lumis, are all Triple H.

Only time will tell which direction the WWE is headed for, but after the reports and the negative reaction to Brock Lesnar’s most recent turn heel, we have a hunch that audiences are going to be in for a wild ride.
