Valve, the creator behind the world's most prominent digital game distribution platform, Steam, has officially unveiled the dates for its 2024 sales and festivals. Gamers can now mark their calendars, prepare their wallets, and anticipate the numerous opportunities to snag their favorite titles at discounted prices.
The year begins with a bang with the Capitalism and Economy Fest scheduled from January 8 to 15. Don't be swayed by the serious-sounding name; this event showcases games themed around the concept of "cold hard cash." While exact titles are still under wraps, it's expected to feature games where the primary goal revolves around accumulating in-game currency.
Following this, Steam takes a whimsical turn, with sales events that bring to mind fun battles from our childhoods. The Ninja vs. Pirate Fest is set to occur from February 26 to March 4, encompassing games that highlight those who live in the shadows or on the seas or, in some delightful cases, both. Similarly, the Dinos vs. Robots Fest will appeal to fans of either faction, offering an assortment of games that feature these timeless adversaries.
Valve's dedication to providing diverse experiences continues with the Steam Next Fest, scheduled from February 5 to 12. This event is a celebration of upcoming titles, giving gamers a chance to get their hands on demos of games that are yet to be released. Shortly afterward, from February 12 to 19, the Remote Play Together event will take center stage in an effort to promote titles that employ Steam's unique feature allowing friends to share a gaming session remotely.
