There are very few companies in gaming that have as many popular brands and franchises as Ubisoft. The Montreuil-based company has several studios scattered all over the world, all of which are either individually working or collaborating on games such as Assassin's Creed, For Honor, Tom Clancy's, Watch Dogs, Rayman, Far Cry, Prince of Persia, Just Dance, and Rabbids.
One could argue that Ubisoft is pretty much the Disney of gaming (albeit not as big), which is why it shouldn't come off as a total surprise that Ubisoft is planning on opening its own theme park. In fact, this is a plan that's been years in the making with a 2020 original launch date.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic, among other things, pushed back Ubisoft's original plans and now the French publishers have confirmed that the theme park is now on track for a 2025 opening.
