Ubisoft just made a big announcement today for Tom Clancy's The Division franchise - but you wouldn't know it by looking at them. While we are waiting on The Division Heartland and Resurgence, Massive Entertainment casually announced The Division 3 with all the fanfare of discussing the weather.

In a surprise move, Ubisoft announced that Massive Entertainment's Julian Gerighty has been tapped as the executive producer of The Division franchise. Gerighty is currently the creative director of Star Wars Outlaws and has been part of the first Division game since 2014. He will remain with Star Wars Outlaws until its launch before transitioning to his new role.

"Julian Gerighty is returning to the brand he helped usher into the world. Gerighty has been appointed Executive Producer for The Division Brand, and will make the move once Star Wars Outlaws – a game he is currently overseeing as Creative Director - has shipped," Ubisoft announced.

Now, he's setting his sights on Tom Clancy's The Division 3, as well as the plethora of other projects set in The Division universe, including the mobile game Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, and the survival-action shooter Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland.
