There was a time when the public would have jumped in joy hearing more about Skull and Bones. The sea-faring title, which began life as an off-shot from 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, has been stuck in development hell for the better part of the past decade. At this point, fans will no longer believe anything about Skull and Bones unless it's right in from of them. But, just in case you're curious, the upcoming Ubisoft title is still very much in the works and on track to release on or before April 2023.

According to Ubisoft's latest financial report, Skull and Bones is still in development with a 2023 fiscal year release window. This means that the game might come out before March 31, 2023.

Of course, since this is Skull and Bones we're talking about, the game could very well be delayed again. The game has been synonymous with delays ever since it was announced in 2017 and was even slated to launch this year back in May. Not to mention, with the game's co-director having left the company in January, development on Skull and Bones is not looking good.
