Even the most reliable leakers get it wrong sometimes. As we always say, take rumors with a grain of salt.
The Assassin's Creed franchise looks set to be very busy in the coming years. Ubisoft revealed at the Forward event that the series has six games that are in development.
One game that has been mentioned in the leaks is a remake of the original Assassin's Creed. The rumors state that "Ubisoft is secretly preparing the remake of Assassin's Creed 1 based on the Rift/Mirage's work. They will reuse a large part of the assets."
The leak also mentioned that Assassin's Creed 1 will be part of the Season Pass and include the Constantinople DLC.
Well, it looks like those rumors will be put to rest as Assassin's Creed Mirage's Art Director, Jean-Luc Sala denied that the game is in development. He mentions "that's not what we're doing. I'm fully dedicated to Mirage and I can tell you we are not remaking AC1."
