Earthrealm is gearing up for another battle against the savages of Outworld in the upcoming Mortal Kombat sequel, and we now have a first look at the talented cast who will bring this epic showdown to life.
As cameras roll in Australia, producer Todd Garner took to his Twitter account to treat fans to an image of the cast sharing a meal together at a local restaurant.
The photo not only confirms Karl Urban's casting as fan favorite Johnny Cage but also includes the returning stars Mehcad Brooks, Jessica McNamee, and Ludi Lin, along with new additions Ana Thu Nguyen, Tati Gabrielle, and Adeline Rudolph.
But interestingly, key actors from the first film, such as Hiroyuki Sanada, Joe Taslim, and Lewis Tan, along with the recently announced Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, were noticeably absent from the image. Earlier, Garner shared a picture on Twitter showing a lantern resembling the one seen on the pit bridge in the game, sparking a debate online about the film's plot.
