The Witcher Season 3 finally has a release date and it's not coming anytime soon.
Netflix's hit fantasy series highlighted Netflix's TUDUM 2022 event. The streaming giant dropped the first poster for The Witcher Season 3 at the said showcase. But, if you expect to see Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia sport a new look, we've got bad news for you. Still, it does confirm that The Witcher Season 3 will come out next summer.
The summer release window for The Witcher Season 3 is a huge departure for the budding franchise. The first and second seasons of The Witcher came out in December 2020 and 2022, respectively. It isn't unusual for shows to switch release months and dates in between seasons, but it's still noteworthy when these break a pattern. Then again, Netflix is starting to become more open to changes lately.
It was always wishful thinking for Netflix to release The Witcher Season 3 later this year. If anything, we should be happy that Netflix didn't settle another December release date. It'd have been a much longer wait for audiences otherwise.
