Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has gone from teasing and hinting at Henry Cavill's return as Superman in Black Adam to confirming it himself.
At an early screening of Black Adam, Entertainment Tonight got the chance to ask Johnson how he helped bring back Cavill to the DC Extended Universe, and here's what he had to say: I can tell you that the whole goal and initiative of Black Adam was to build out the DC Universe by introducing not only Black Adam, but the entire JSA... and also, as I have been saying all alone, there's an ethos that we at Seven Bucks [Productions] have... and that is, we always put the fans first... So, for years, audiences have been so passionate and vocal about -- we've established Black Adam as the most powerful and unstoppable force on our planet. But, the fans have been so passionate about... 'Where is the most unstoppable force in the universe? Where is he?' Well... we've all been fighting for this moment, so I will say this: Welcome home." Those who attended the Black Adam screening claim that the post-credits scene confirms all the earlier rumors as Cavill's Superman faces off against Black Adam.
After the early reactions confirmed that Black Adam could be huge for the DCEU, Cavill's return is the icing on the cake.
