The Marvels will be one of the shortest MCU movies ever

There are questions about how The Marvels fit into the bigger Multiverse Saga. Brie Larson's Captain Marvel introduced Carol Danvers into the MCU and set up her appearance in Avengers: Endgame. There are indications that The Marvels could have a huge impact in the upcoming Avengers movies but director Nia DaCosta is mum about the studio's plans.

That's a question for Kevin Feige," DaCosta said in an interview with Total Film. "I have lots of thoughts. But I actually have no idea what they're going to do in the Avengers movies. I do know that those guys who are doing that watch the films, see what we're doing. I have things I really want [to happen]. But I'm not sure."

The Marvels is the final MCU movie for the year with the rest of the Phase 5 projects coming out next year. After this, the production schedule will stretch out content a bit further apart perhaps in a bid to alleviate the superhero fatigue that fans are experiencing. Having content spread apart does tend to have much more of an impact on audiences as the studio can build on the excitement. It also gives time for the production teams, especially VFX artists, to provide quality content.

Many MCU projects have also been delayed by the ongoing Writers and Actors strikes. Deadpool 3 recently halted filming as the strike went into effect. Hopefully, the strikes will not affect the scheduled release dates that much. We will know once the work stoppage has been resolved.

The Marvels is coming to theaters on November 10.
