The Flash trailer debuts during Super Bowl along with a new Batman poster

Plus, the brand new poster with Michael Keaton's Batman (from the Tim Burton 1989 movie and the sequel Batman Returns in 1992) depicts the Dark Knight in his updated all-black costume. There are also new posters for both Ezra Miller's Flash and Sasha Calle's Supergirl.

Earlier in the week, the first The Flash poster with Ezra Miller's titular speedster was revealed to the public. That poster showed Barry Allen/The Flash sporting the new costume and standing on a platform in the Batcave with the tagline "Worlds Collide".

James Gunn has gone on record to say that the DC Universe will restart and the changes will take effect at the end of The Flash movie. The film is loosely based on the DC Comics Flashpoint storyline, which had Barry try to save his mother from dying, but causing a butterfly effect that completely changes reality. At the end of Flashpoint, Barry prevents himself from saving his mother, but also revises reality again. Although it is not as dark as the Flashpoint reality, it is also not the reality Barry originally came from (creating what was called the New 52 DC universe). Could the rumors be true that the other Barry Allen (also played by Ezra Miller) will be the villain as this reality's version of the Reverse Flash?

The new trailer does seem to be taking elements from Flashpoint, with Sasha Calle's Supergirl replacing Superman. Keaton's Batman also replaces the version of Batman in the said storyline (which was Thomas Wayne, Bruce's father). However, the second Barry does not seem to fit into the Flashpoint story, unless the rumors are true of him being the stand-in for the true villain, Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash.
