Tom Clancy's The Division is getting bigger with the introduction of two new titles, of which is an upcoming free-to-play mobile game, Resurgence. During the Ubisoft Forward livestream, the French publisher dropped a new CGI trailer for The Division Resurgence along with its release window. Ubisoft confirmed that an upcoming regional beta for the mobile title in select regions is coming as well.
The pre-rendered CGI trailer shows a bunch of Division Agents taking on various factions from previous titles in the series in a fictionalized war-torn version of New York. The operatives can be seen deploying various tech skills such as drones, ballistic shields, and shock grenades as a means to combat rogue elements prowling the streets of downtown Manhattan.
The Division Resurgence is bring the same open-world PvPvE gameplay to mobile devices. Players who got to test out the game early say that it is pretty much like The Division but on your mobile phone instead of a PC or console. The graphics were reportedly good and parts of Manhattan felt similar to the first Division game.
However, being a mobile title, the control scheme would be something that players need to get used to. Playing it on a small screen may be a bit challenging for players as there are a lot of buttons and other things crammed into a tiny space. Thankfully, controller support will be available for Resurgence.
