What did Stephen King say about The Flash?

King's words went viral all over social media, even catching the attention of the new co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn.

Gunn, who recently came on board to reboot the entire DCEU lineup and introduce a fresh slate starting with Superman: Legacy, was appreciative of King's feedback.

The Flash is the first of the three DCEU films that are coming out in the second half of this year. Although it's had its fair share of misses, King's glowing review, when considered with Tom Cruise's statement, suggests that the anticipation for the film will reach a fever pitch sooner rather than later if it already isn't.

While not traditionally a film critic, King's vast experience in storytelling and his appreciation for cinema as an art form are what make his praise a significant endorsement.

But, then again, as one user pointed out, King had high praise for last year's Firestarter, which has a 10% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so take his words with a grain of salt.

The Flash will hit theaters on June 16, after which Blue Beetle (August 18) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (December 20) will close out the DCEU permanently.
