Starfield has been delayed yet again

MrMattyPlays did not provide an exact date or even month for the game's release. And this is still just a rumor at this point. So, please take it with a grain of salt.

We may get more information from Microsoft as it's reportedly holding a developer deep dive event for Starfield later on after the upcoming Developer Direct live stream.

Hopefully, we'll get an announcement of the game's new release window when the planned deep dive event happens. It would be the best place to announce a launch date and explain why the game has been delayed again.

If we were to guess, the delay may have something to do with Redfall's reported release in early May. There's speculation that Bethesda and Arkane Studios will delay the upcoming horror shooter by six weeks from its original March release window to avoid the other notable horror video game titles coming out over the next few months.

Redfall's planned release in May will be quite close to a June release window for Starfield. While the two are from different video game genres, it is unlikely that Bethesda would want to release two titles so close to each other. These are both marquee titles for Bethesda and Microsoft.

At this point, we can only hope that the delay will be just one or two months. Well, we will be happy to get the game this year, to be honest. A delayed but polished game is better than a product that is released on time but with game-breaking glitches.

Starfield is coming to the Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime this year.
