The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters update the original Final Fantasy games (1 through 6) and give them cleaner, crisper-in-game sprites. In addition to this, the remaster games overhaul the UI and balance the gameplay as well. After being released on the PC as well as iOS and Android platforms last year, Square Enix confirmed their arrival on the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch for next year as part of the franchise's 35th-anniversary celebration. But, while this is good news, a handful of fans are complaining that they can no longer get their hands on physical copies of the game anymore.

In a world full of digital-only releases, Square Enix decided to go old school and released a standard physical edition of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters and an Anniversary Edition. If bought directly from Square Enix's store, these games will set you back $74.99 and $259.99, respectively. Unfortunately, both are sold out although you can try your luck on the waitlist.
