Revealed at the September PlayStation State of Play, Sony showcased a glimpse into its new collection, which is nothing short of a visual treat. The collection introduces three new metallic shades for the DualSense wireless controller and PS5 console covers: the Volcanic Red, the Cobalt Blue, and the Sterling Silver.
If you're wondering about the inspiration behind these shades, it's the very planet we inhabit. Satoshi Aoyagi, one of the masterminds from Sony's design team, shared a statement on the new PlayStation collection, giving fans insight into how these accessories are conceptualized.
"While crafting this new collection of DualSense controller and PS5 console cover colors, we drew inspiration from the beautiful and powerful hues found in the depths of planet Earth. We elevated the colors by adding a metallic finish for a touch of sophistication." he stated.
Now, if you're already reaching for your wallet, hold on just a bit longer. Pre-orders for this dazzling collection are set to go live on October 4. Unfortunately, while the Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue accessories are scheduled to launch on November 3, the Sterling Silver accessories will not be available to purchase until January 26.
