Sony has rolled out a new update for the PlayStation 5

The new PlayStation 5 update also introduces an improved voice command. This lets you activate the video game's Help content by using the command, "Hey PlayStation, help." You can also check out new PS5 features as well as the current PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup with the command, "Hey PlayStation, what's new?

Furthermore, the new update gives users the option to enable haptic feedback effects if they use a DualSense controller, Dualsense Edge controller, or PS VR2 controller. With this feature, they can physically feel those events, via haptics, that were previously communicated through sound alone. These events include moving focus, checking a box, and receiving a notification. We especially like this update because it improves accessibility for people who have a sight or hearing disability.

Sony's new update also adds a few social feature enhancements. There is a change to the Party UI that allows you to "invite a player into a closed party without automatically adding the player into the group or creating a new group." If someone is inviting you to a party, the update also includes an option to see a preview image of their before you accept.

You can also react to messages with emojis, join a game your friend is playing, as well as keep tabs on tournaments, from your performance to the start date of the next tournament, through the Game Hub tournaments tile.

Players now have a larger storage capacity for their games. Before the update, the PlayStation 5 could SSDs with 4TB storage capacity at most. However, that has now increased and gamers can use an M.2 SSD with a maximum capacity of 8TB.

By the way, the update's improved PS Remote Play support means that besides PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets – both iOS and Android, you can also stream your PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 to Android TV OS 12 devices, including Sony's Bravia XR A95L and Google TV (4K).
